The project utilizes the Face Expression Recognition API from face-api.js to analyze users' facial expressions captured through their webcam. Vintage photos sourced from the Chelsea Flea Market are employed to examine how these relics of the past can evoke various emotions.
In conjunction with the website, an accompanying album featuring photos encased in plastic film is crafted by hand. Unlike the web, where memorabilia influences the user, here, the relationship is inverted. Users have the agency to manipulate tangible memories within the album. They can rearrange the photo sequence, doodle on the plastic wrap, attached stickers, and more.
